This is the same AutoMOD package for phpBB 3.0.12, modified by DionDesigns to work with phpBB 3.1 and 3.2, and with a couple bugs in AutoMOD fixed in the process.
Installation is exactly as in phpBB 3.0.12. Follow the official instructions:

And you will have your very own version of AutoMOD installed on phpBB 3.1 / 3.2!

I've personally testing some mods, about 1/3 of the "unofficial" MODs (the best ones, IMO) and they could be installed into phpBB 3.1/3.2. There are others that can (and usually do) result in a crashed site. Keep in mind the words of Voltaire (and Peter Parker's Uncle Ben): "With great power comes great responsibility"

You can too check the code, if it is an ACP MOD, the probability of crashing is very low. And if the MOD is simple, the probability of working is high of course.
And 3.1 will accept more MODs then 3.2, since 3.2 have way more changes in the core.
